By the time she went she was feeling even worse and she had no answers to what her condition was, and took some pills that weren’t working for her. She decided to come to Nicaragua; she paid for special cares during her flight and went straight from the airport in Managua to the doctor's clinic. She took the same exams and got her diagnosis in less than a week. She spend a month taking the new treatment and her health condition got better, apparently it was an illness that could've caused a severe damage to her health and even death since her immune system was slowly attacking her. She spent less than of what she could have spent in Canada and she was treated faster and like royalty. She continues in touch with her Doctor via phone calls and e-mails. By her experience, she said it was the best choice she made and how surprising it was that coming to Nicaragua, been a less developed country saved her life. Now a year after her visit, she will travel again to Nicaragua to take a general medical exam and see how her health has been improving. There is the time investment as well as having to find a hotel and pay for food for a couple days. But even so, a good hotel in Nicaragua costs peanuts compared to in the US or Canada where a cheap run down hotel is minimum $60 per night. As for food...well what is considered the best restaurant in all of Nicaragua (El Ranchos...or something like that) i only $80 for 2 of the most expensive on the menu and 2 bottles of wine...Peanuts! The think is that it is so much more expensive in the US and Canada and by going south you can save a ton of money. A person getting braces for example, which is non surgical, will save thousands of dollars. My friends brother got his done for over $4,000 dollars! Which means you are going to save at least a couple thousand dollars. Yes the key to the whole equation is to find someone who is credible, and that may be hard if you don't know where yo look, but you should easily be able to find someone without having to look too hard. How do you think I found my dentist? A referral service that matches patients with great doctors/dentist would be a great business idea for a Nica wanting to get ahead of the game.
